Mary Jean Gibbons has been practicing therapeutic massage and bodywork for over 30 years. She believes that skillful, respectful & compassionate touch can help to create a healthy, balanced and harmonious life, and she strives to offer the best of what she has learned to her clients. Mary Jean brings bodywork methods from a variety of cultural traditions as well as elements of nature into her sessions; her work has been influenced by her personal practices of Yoga, Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation, and by her love of nature and the arts.
Mary Jean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Fine Arts, and worked in the human service field for over a decade before beginning her bodywork career. She has studied Mindfulness Based Stress Management with the staff of the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and the Penn Program for Stress Management. In her spare time she enjoys family, friends, nature, music, art, books, and of course, receiving bodywork!
